July 4 Independence Day
Fourth of July is a fabulous day in Cayucos. The sand sculptures are created by children, novices, and professionals. (Maybe you would like to build one?)They are truly works of art. The hometown parade is a delight to all. Make sure you come early to find parking and your observation spot. And the fireworks display being shot off the pier? Well, come see for yourself. Find that special spot on the beach and enjoy the show. Cayucos rocks on the Fourth of July!
Please leave fireworks at home. No fires, fireworks or alcohol on beach.

Annual Rock to Pier Fun Run and 2nd Running of Rock’n Around the Pier Half-Marathon
2013 marks the 44th running of the Rock to Pier Fun Run. The run/walk is approx. 6 miles in length and takes place on the hard packed sand from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier. Have more fun with the Rock’n Around the Pier Half-Marathon where runners have the option to run back to the Rock to compete in a 13.1 mile race. Annual Cayucos Carnival and Fall Fundraiser

Come join us for a FREE family and community event. A family tradition for generations. Proceeds benefit school enrichment programs in the arts. Over 100 silent auction items, including hotel stays, custom art pieces and jewelry, fine dining, and much more. This is truly a carnival for everyone. Makana – Cayucos Pier Benefit Concert

Makana returns to his favorite little surf town in America to give a benefit concert to restore the historic Cayucos Pier. For the 3rd year in a row the concert will be held at the The Historic Borradori Garage, this time with dinner and drinks included in the ticket price. Auction also to be held. All monies raised go to a trust set up solely for the purpose of funding the pier restoration initiative. Cayucos Pier Benefit Concert
11am-4pm, Cayucos Pier and Front Street
The Historic Cayucos Pier will play host to an eclectic day of free musical entertainment on the pier and beach featuring: Matt Costa, Cayucas, Makana, The Julian Temple Band, Joe Koenig and more. In addition to the beach concert, Front St. in Cayucos will play host to a variety of concessionaires, including a beer and wine garden a variety of food, beverage, and arts vending. Bluff Walks
10am, Estero Bluffs, San Geronimo Windmill parking lot
As part of the town’s annual Christmas in Cayucos celebration, the Cayucos Land Conservancy is offering a nature walk along the Estero Bluffs State Park, lead by our very own CLC Member and State Parks docent, Mimi Kimball. Learn all the latest flora, fauna and history of the region. Meet at San Geronimo Creek Windmill parking lot, 1/2 mile north of town. For more details, contact Candice at 808-347-8141. Walks are 1-1.5 hours long.
